FaultFence Beta Terms

Version 2026-10-25-beta-2 · Effective when published on faultfence.com

Service operator: Ishan Pravin Parab · Support, privacy and security: ishan@faultfence.com

1. Self-service beta access

FaultFence provides an experimental dashboard and a public Testing Kit for nonproduction financial-agent security testing. You can read the Get Started guide and download the officially published Testing Kit without creating an account. Dashboard access, including hosted assessment features, still requires registration, acceptance of the current Beta Terms, and email verification. Downloading the kit does not grant dashboard access. Use of the kit remains subject to the applicable bundled license and beta conditions. Beta access may be suspended or discontinued.

2. Synthetic, authorized testing only

You may test a nonproduction copy of an AI agent that you own or are authorized to assess, using synthetic data and simulated financial workflows only. Do not connect real banking, payment, payout, or production systems. Do not upload real financial credentials, API keys, personal financial records, or production source code to FaultFence’s hosted service. When separately approved model-enabled testing requires a customer-owned model-provider API key, configure it locally in the runner or gateway, and keep it out of prompts, traces, reports, and cloud uploads. Financial effects shown in reports are simulated; no real transfers are intended.

3. Local runner and external model services

The officially published Testing Kit runs on your computer with Docker, not on FaultFence-hosted servers. It may execute Python code in the agent adapter you supply; container isolation reduces risk but cannot guarantee host safety. The beta supports offline synthetic testing and optional model-enabled testing that requires explicit provider-data-egress opt-in. In model mode, synthetic prompts and tool content may leave your device for your selected model provider, and API charges may apply. Keep provider credentials private, review the included security instructions and follow the provider's terms.

The v0.8.0-beta.3 release adds Linux and macOS setup helpers alongside the existing Windows tools. Support remains experimental, and macOS Docker-based execution has not been independently verified. Platform compatibility and test isolation are not guaranteed.

4. Results and limitations

Findings describe observed behavior in the instrumented testing environment. They do not independently establish that a production payment service is vulnerable or that an agent is secure. A result marked resisted, skipped or inconclusive is not a general security guarantee. An exploited result can also reflect an injected tool or execution-boundary weakness rather than a model independently choosing a malicious action. Independently verify findings and remediation before relying on them.

5. Report privacy and customer rights

Local preview does not automatically upload assessment reports. If you explicitly choose to save an assessment to your account, its contents—including prompts, tool arguments, simulated transaction data, and event traces—are uploaded to the hosted report database. Review the report and remove secrets or sensitive information before saving. You retain rights you independently hold in your agent code and reports. The FaultFence Privacy Notice describes the reviewed storage, retention and deletion practices. Use the notice to understand storage, deletion and provider processing before you save reports.

6. Software rights and third-party licenses

Rights to FaultFence-authored proprietary code are governed by the applicable FaultFence license and the release actually provided to you. No intellectual-property ownership is transferred through your account. Third-party open-source components remain governed by their respective licenses; these terms do not restrict rights those licenses grant.

7. Experimental service and support

FaultFence is experimental beta software. Results and availability are not guaranteed, and the service is offered as-is to the extent permitted by applicable law. For support, security or privacy requests, contact ishan@faultfence.com. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Beta safety reminder: No real-money testing or production financial credentials. Use only an authorized agent, synthetic inputs, and the official FaultFence Testing Kit. Keep a local copy of assessment reports.
